SUMP PUMP INSTALLS IN ALBANY, TROY, SARATOGA SPRINGS AND SCHENECTADY
A sump pump is a small pump installed in the lowest part of a basement or crawlspace. Its job is to help keep the area under the building dry and to prevent it from flooding. Usually, sump pumps are installed in specially constructed sump pits. There are two ways you can check that your sump pump is working correctly. First, lift up the float and see if the pump reacts like it would if the water level was high. Does the pump make any noise ? Unplug the pump and then plug it in again. Plug in another product to see if your outlet is working. If the outlet is not working, your pump still could be good. Try to clean your pump with a product like Simple Green. Gunk and dirt can affect the working of the unit. Spray the pump, brush it clean and then rinse with some water. There could be just unplug the pump and then plug it in again.
